Susan Schell | Jewelry Designer
- Susan Schell has studied jewelry design and fine arts at Virginia Commonwealth University, Maryland Institute College of Art, Studio Arts Centers International (Florence, Italy), Parsons The New School of Design (NYC), and has a Masters in fashion marketing and luxury brand management from INSEEC University (Paris, France.)
She was first drawn to jewelry in her youth and was always fascinated by precious objects and curious about the connection that we have to adornments. Intrigued and inspired by nature and especially rocks, minerals, gemstones, shells, and flowers, her design aesthetic is often historically influenced but refined and made modern. Botany and geometric patterning are personal obsessions as well as huge influences in her work.
She has apprenticed under master craftsmen jewelers and studied tradition bench jewelry in Florence, Italy. She has worked at major fashion brands in New York like Marchesa and Michael Kors. She currently lives and works in Paris, France. - Contact Susan with comments, questions, or commissions:
